Jim’s other passion, that of classic cars, started with his very first automobile... a 1968 Oldsmobile 442. Purchased new by his father Jim drove it in High School and after taking possession of the title in 1989 had the car fully restored.
A long time Pacific NW resident, avid outdoors man, and nature lover, Jim’s passions also extend to his love of classic cars, and is active in the Boy Scouts of America. The reason he has a hiking image as his logo is because hiking is his lifetime passion. Jim spent his childhood hiking in the North Cascades and at age 17 participated in Northwest Outward Bound. Starting just outside of Darrington, Washington, he hiked across the Cascade mountains to a re-supply point in a small village named Holden and then back to Darrington via Miners Ridge. This got Jim hooked on hiking prompting him to work for the US Forest Service for five summers during College further developing his love of the woods and nature.
